"CMC cores made from Nano-crystalline material (a rapidly quenched iron based alloy with a fine crystalline microstructure, typically grain sized , roughly 10 nanometers with strip thickness at about 20μm), this fine material structure is the reason for its extraordinary soft magnetic properties, which can be adjusted into a wide range by an annealing process under the presence of external magnetic fields.
Currently these are being used to reduce damaging motor bearing currents in modern high power inverter systems operating at high switching frequencies. The cores not only reduces the over voltage peaks at the motor terminals, but also suppresses the asymmetrical EMI currents.
These cores (match with the X/Y capacitor and resistor) can replace EMI filters; furthermore it can also reduce costs by over 40% and pass the CQC certificated system especially for central PV inverters."
